Stuart McLoughlin
Stu Mcloughlin is a prolific character voice actor. He won the BBC Carleton Hobbs Radio Bursary Award in 2004 and has performed in a great number of BBC Radio Drama productions and audiobooks in and around his several stints on the BBC Radio Rep.
Hailing from both Bristol and Scotland, and having trained as an actor in Wales, Stu is known for his particular versatility in accent work. He trained under Marilyn Le Conte at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Stu recently recorded his first Doctor Who audio drama for Big Finish productions and has provided featured voice work for Nick Love’s upcoming feature film Marching Powder.
Stu is co-founder, writer, performer, musical director and co-director of Living Spit, a comedy Theatre company established in 2012 in Bristol, UK. How work in theatre includes the National Theatre, Kneehigh, Bristol Old Vic and Lyric Hammersmith.
Stu’s screen work includes Elizabeth: The Golden Age, The Outlaws and the BBC sitcom Clone in which he played the titular role.
