Hugh has recently been revealed as the voice of Garrick Ollivander for the upcoming full-cast Audible dramatisation of the Harry Potter Series.

Hugh was runner-up in the BBC’s Carleton Hobbs Awards and has subsequently been heard in well over 100 broadcasts for BBC radio, including Book at Bedtime, The Stanley Baxter Playhouse, and Arms and the Man.

His work in video games includes Diablo (Blizzard) and Warhammer: Curse of the Vampire Coast (Creative Assembly)

He played Macbeth (with Harriet Walter) for Arkangel’s  Shakespeare Collection, and has recorded many audio books, most recently An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding for Naxos Books. He works extensively for Big Finish Productions, notably as Sir Toby Kinsella in their successful series Counter Measures.

Since 2019, Hugh has been filming in 3 series of Outlander as Arch Bug. Most recently he has been in the acclaimed production of The Vortex at Chichester Festival Theatre.
