Shogo Miyakita as Kenji in Brawl Stars

SHOGO MIYAKITA is the voice of Kenji in the hit mobile game, Brawl Stars.

Kenji is now a Legendary Brawler in Supercell’s Brawl Stars, introduced to the game in late September 2024 as its 84th brawler.

According to his official in-game bio, Kenji is a highly skilled sushi chef who has a wholesome life running his restaurant in Starr Park, though it feels like he’s trying to hide something from his past… though his sushi tastes so good, nobody cares!

Shogo has great fun with this role, shift between calm, almost proverb-like lines – “Only my heart is stronger than my blade” and “The frog in the well knows nothing of the ocean” – and darker, more menacing ones tied to an alternate “Oni” persona, such as “Revenge is best served from the fires of hell!” and “Serving the sushi of suffering.”

Brawl Stars is a multiplayer online battle game developed and published by Finnish videogame company Supercell. Released in 2018, the game features over 80 Brawlers, each with their unique abilities and playstyles!

Our thanks to Adele Cutting and the team at Sound Cuts in London.

Shogo had a lot of fun with this role. Who knew “Wasaaabiii!” would work so well as a battlecry!?
