 Matthew Woodyatt as Franck in A Magnificent Life 

MATTHEW WOODYATT voices the role of Franck in the upcoming English-language release of Sylvain Chomet’s animated feature, A Magnificent Life (Marcel et Monsieur Pagnol).

A Magnificent Life is directed by Sylvain Chomet, known for Oscar-nominated films The Triplets of Belleville and The Illusionist. It celebrates the life and legacy of renowned French playwright, novelist and filmmaker Marcel Pagnol.

The film premieredat the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and has since screened at major international animation festivals, earning praise for its hand-drawn artistry and warm, reflective storytelling. Now Sony have announced an English-language theatrical release later this month (March 2026), with Matthew Woodyatt in the role of Franck.
