Kerry Gooderson in Underground, BBC Audio Drama

Listen on BBC Sounds

KERRY GOODERSON can now be heard as Brett and Esther in Underground, Chloë Myerson’s five-part thriller available in full now on BBC Sounds, or on Friday afternoons at 2:15pm on BBC Radio 4.

Underground is set in a near-future world edging towards societal collapse, where the wealthiest 0.01% have withdrawn into luxury bunkers with pools, cinemas and hydroponic farms. Charly takes a job tutoring the children of reclusive billionaire Edward in his doomsday bunker, but the longer she stays, the harder it is to ignore the sense that something is being hidden.

Kerry joins a company that includes fellow Jabbervoices actor Tom Kiteley, alongside Ava Hinds-Jones, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Joshua-Alexander Williams, Danny Ashok, Liz Sutherland-Lim, Ayrton English and India Moon, Debbie Korley and David Holt.

Written by Chloë Myerson and directed by Anne Isger, the series is a BBC Studios production for BBC Radio 4, with sound design by Peter Ringrose, Keith Graham and Andy Garratt. Its premise draws on real life, where the super-rich are already building bunkers as sanctuary from the apocalypse. The first episode has aired on Radio 4, with the final episode broadcasting on Friday 16 October – all five are on BBC Sounds now.
