New country, new swimsuit, new start? If only it were that easy…

Debs never planned on spending midlife dodging her ex-husband and his new (younger, thinner) girlfriend. But ever since Dishonest Dave ran off with Perfect Penny from three doors down, she’s been hiding—from life, from fun, and definitely from swimsuits. Now, a long-planned reunion on Portugal’s sun-soaked coast might be just what she needs to start over.

Reuniting with old friends means cocktails by the pool, belly laughs, and maybe—just maybe—flirting with the outrageously handsome landscape gardener, Eduardo. But when Debs realises he understood every word of her mortifying chat about post-40 sex lives, she’s ready to sink into the sand. Until she notices the way he keeps looking at her… and how her heart isn’t quite so broken anymore.

This trip was supposed to be about letting loose. But can Debs shake off her insecurities long enough to take a real chance on herself—and on Eduardo?

A heartwarming, feel-good summer escape about friendship, love, and second chances—perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Nicola May, and Milly Johnson.

Kim Nash is an author of uplifting, funny, heartwarming, romantic, feel-good fiction. She lives in Staffordshire with her son, Ollie.©2025 Saga Egmont (P)2025 Saga Egmont
