Shogo Miyakita as Man in White in Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Since Onimusha: Way of the Sword launched earlier this month, players have been getting to know not one but two roles voiced by SHOGO MIYAKITA. Now that the game is out in the world, it’s time we shared a little more about the second….

Shogo, as we announced last month, voices the veteran swordsman Ono no Takamura (first heard narrating the game’s trailer). His second role is the enigmatic “Man in White“, the mysterious figure who keeps making unexpected appearances. Whether he can be trusted is a question for players to answer…

Capcom’s first new mainline Onimusha in twenty years has been received well since launching. IGN awarded it a perfect 10/10, the first for the franchise from that outlet. Forbes went as far as saying it “may be the best game in the series.”

The dual role adds to Shogo’s run of recent samurai-era work that includes voice and face-capture as Toshizō Hijikata in Team Ninja’s Rise of the Rōnin and Minamoto in Spirit of the Samurai. It also sits alongside other gaming credits such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Wuthering Waves and Brawl Stars.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
