GWITHIAN EVANS joins the Whoniverse as a brand-new companion in the upcoming audio series Doctor Who – The Twelfth Doctor Adventures: Run Fast, Be Kind.

Set between “The Husbands of River Song” and “The Return of Doctor Mysterio”, the new series revisits the Twelfth Doctor era, originally portrayed on screen by Peter Capaldi, and now voiced by Jon Culshaw. The stories follow the Doctor in the aftermath of his final adventure with River Song, as he begins a new chapter with an unexpected companion: Ash Wilton, a travelling bard from the end of the universe, voiced by Gwithian Evans.

Produced by the award-winning team at Big Finish Productions, Run Fast, Be Kind continues their celebrated legacy of expanding the Doctor Who universe through bold, character-driven storytelling. The six-part series is led by producer and writer Alfie Shaw and features a rich mix of original stories and returning monsters.

Ash Wilton is a striking new addition to the TARDIS: a wandering musician from a dying world, inspired by post-apocalyptic and science-fiction landscapes. The series explores a rare all-male TARDIS dynamic, creating a fresh emotional and dramatic texture for the Doctor’s travels. Alfie Shaw has praised Gwithian’s performance, highlighting the immediate rapport between him and Jon Culshaw in the studio and the distinctive energy he brings to the role.

The six episodes will be released weekly from July 2026, with a complete digital box set available following the full run.
